The second of our monthly ArlingtonMusicScene.com happy hours is tonight, Wednesday, November 17, from 6 to 8pm at IOTA Club and Cafe in the Clarendon section of Arlington. Everyone is welcome. We had about 30 people at the first one and the goal is to beat the previous number each month. Spread the word. Email your friends and bandmates. Just head over to IOTA around 6, grab something to eat or drink and make yourself a masking tape name tag. A little after 6, we'll all get together, let everyone know who we are and hang out. It's designed to give people in the music community a chance to network outside of the typical show scene. Those looking for live music can stick around for the IOTA open mic. Sign ups for that are at 8:30.
Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) members, don't forget that your Wammie nominating ballots are due in by tomorrow, Thursday, November 18.

Next Happy Hour: Wednesday, Nov. 17
The next ArlingtonMusicScene.com sponsored happy hour at IOTA Club and Cafe will take place on Wednesday, November 17 from 6pm to 8pm. These are designed to give people a chance to network with fellow musicians and other members of the music community. Everyone is welcome. Those interested in playing or checking out live music can stick around for IOTA's weekly open mic. Sign-up for that begins around 8:30.
IOTA is located at 2832 Wilson Boulevard in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, VA. Wilson Boulevard starts in Rosslyn, which is just across the river from Washington D.C. IOTA is just a couple miles up on Wilson, between Edgewood and Fillmore Streets. The club is also two and a half blocks East of the Clarendon Metro Station on the Orange Line. You can reach the club by phone at 703-522-8340.
We had about 30 people turn out for the first one last month, which wasn't a bad start. Please spread the word to your friends, bandmates and others who might be interested in attending and these can grow a little each month. They take place the third Wednesday of every month at IOTA.

Metro Area, which you'll be able to access anytime through the link under "Resources For Musicians" in the right hand column. If you have something to add, please post it as a comment below. The list will be updated as people submit more information.
