On Saturday, November 13, the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) is holding Music Business: 101, a day-long seminar on the legal and business basics of the music industry. Panelists will include Jay Rosenthal, Esq; Kenneth Kaufman, Esq; Carl Settlemeyer, Esq; John Simson, Esq; Jim Griffin and others to-be-announced. Also, on Monday, February 8, WAMA presents the 2004 Wammie awards (the D.C. music version of the Grammies) at Strathmore's new, state-of-the-art, 1,978-seat Music Center in Bethesda, MD.
